God Has Invited All to Feast
Lyrics: Mark Edwin Ryman; Tune: “Wycliff,” John Stainer
God has invited all to feast,
From highest born to very least.
Jews, Gentiles, all you nations come
To dine in God’s celestial home.
No one may dine or even stay
Who is not gowned in his array,
Whose robe was divvied at the cross
That we may wear his righteousness.
Works will not gain you access there.
Religion will not, nor will prayer.
Faith is the only currency,
Based on the grace of Trinity.
Thy kingdom come that we may be
Married to you eternally.
Clothed in the purest robe of white,
Living forever in your light.
Apostolic Greeting
Kyrie
Prayer of the Day
Isaiah 25:6-9
Psalm 23:1-6; (responses are the even numbered verses)
1The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not be in want.
2He makes me lie down in green pastures
and leads me beside still waters.
3He revives my soul
and guides me along right pathways for his name’s sake.
4Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I shall fear no evil;
for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
5You spread a table before me in the presence of those who trouble me;
you have anointed my head with oil, and my cup is running over.
6Surely your goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
Philippians 4:4-13
Matthew 22:1-14
The Apostles Creed
I believe in God the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son our Lord. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit, and born of the virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell. On the third day he rose again. He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen
Offering
Create In Me
Create in me a clean heart, oh God,
and renew a right spirit within me.
Cast me not away from your presence,
and take not your Holy Spirit from me.
Restore to me the joy of your salvation,
and uphold me with your free Spirit.
Prayer
The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen
